Here's proof that I actually put Reese down for a nap...
Yesterday, I put her down for a nap and she stayed down for a whopping 30 minutes.
For all those wondering, Reese is not a good napper - by herself. She'll nap for over an hour if she's in my arms or if we nap together. If she falls asleep and I put her down, she stays down for MAYBE 30 minutes - usually not that long. So, lately I've just been holding her or I end up with a cranky baby at the end of the day who is so tired she doesn't know what to do with herself. Even then, she doesn't sleep through the night (last night she was up THREE times! When will that get better!?)
I don't put her down for naps in her crib because to her crib = darkness = bedtime and since it's not dark, it's not bedtime. So, I tried our bed, sometimes works. Then I tried a blanket on her floor - which works sometimes. I've seriously got to stop holding her for naps because when/if I go back to work, whoever keeps her will have it coming!! :)
Any advice? She sleeps with a noise machine because she doesn't like it quiet but that doesn't seem to help for naps.

Mine was NEVER a good napper, and I tried *all* sorts of things. Don't let her get overtired, that's for sure! I've got a book I read that helped me out ALOT with getting Darci to sleep by herself....if you wanna read it email me...it was great!
The book that has made the difference has been "Baby Wise".
Jack was doin the same thing, but slowy Lara tweeked his schedule.
Working through the difficult (they will fight, but let them cry) change, will help keep the baby from dictating your schedule.
Seriously, within a week, you could whip it and get your own schedule back.
Reesey so edible, love the lil sweet cheekies.
One of the things that worked for us is that we draped one of our tshirts that had our "scent" on top of his sheet and layed him on top. He fell asleep fast bc he smelled us. lol It worked!
