We had such a great time on vacation, but are truly so glad to be home! Reese did outstanding considering all the places we went (lots of time in the car) and all the people she met. Everyone was in awe over her and just couldn't get enough of her. I'll try not to bore you with pictures and events of EVERYTHING (I took over 300 pictures) - I'll just try and highlight the trip and post my faves! I'll try and do a journal type entry with pictures from each day! Enjoy!
Day 1 - Tuesday night/EARLY Wednesday morning
We decided it would be in Reese's best interest (really ours) that leaving in the middle of the night would be best. We got the car packed (with NO extra room) and left Hilliard at 12:10am. The trip there took us about 6 hours exactly and Reese slept the whole time. I stirred her around at about 4AM when we stopped at a rest stop to change her diaper and then fed her. She continued to sleep until it started getting daylight and by that time we were SO close to being there. We met Granny and Papa at Cracker Barrell in Hendersonville, NC for breafast at about 6:30. From there, we headed to their mountain house to rest and shower. Moma and Thomas and my aunt Laurie and family were headed to NC from FL as well, so we just waited on them.
Lunchtime came around so we headed to Hotdog World with my Nana and some family. We went back to Nana's to wait on the rest of the crew headed up. They made it safely late in the afternoon. Moma, Thomas, Clay, Reese, and I rented a cabin not too far from Granny and Papa's, so we headed up the mountain to check-in. It was incredibly nice!
From there, we headed to 'the river' where some family was camping for the week. They had a real nice setup to relax and enjoy the sights! We saw alot of family we hadn't seen for a while and everyone got to meet Reese (the highlight of their trip, I'm sure!) We also headed to Main Street and had some ice cream at Kilwin's!
Everyone always has to get a picture on Nana's porch swing..here's ours :)
My Nana and Reese - she's 88 years old! Reese is her first great-great grandchild and Reese was born on her birthday, how cool is that!?
Papa having a talk with Reese...
Isn't this a gorgeous picture?!
No significance...just thought it was a pretty picture of an old shed at my Nana's house :)
Memorable spot at the river - Papa asked Granny to marry him there...
Enjoying the campfire...Jonathan and Thomas

Day 2 - Thursday
We headed to Main Street on Thursday to walk and shop. We ate at a Burrito place and then shopped for a while. Reese doesn't like the stroller too much, so we took turns carrying her and then giving her little bits of time in the stroller. I finally got our the carrier and carried her like that for a while, she seemed to enjoy that!
We went back up the Papa and Granny's house for dinner and just to relax. After dinner, we headed back down the mountain for MORE ice cream at "Miss Piggy's" (I really don't know if that's the name of it...but we've been going there for ice cream for as long as I can remember!!)
In the stroller...
Now, the carrier - Me, Emma, and Reese
