Time to make a change.

The excuse of "I just had a baby" isn't cutting it anymore. And frankly, that isn't the reason that I'm overweight. That had something to do with it but 99.9% of it was I just don't eat healthy or exercise. So, I decided to do something about it. Three weeks ago, on 9/13, I joined Weight Watchers. It's time to get this weight off. It's time for me to be HAPPY. It's time for a change in lifestyle.

I've struggled with my weight since about my junior year of highschool. Before that, I really didn't have a problem, I wasn't BONE thin, but certainly would classify myself as having a weight problem. My senior year of highschool I joined Weight Watchers for the first time and did really well...on my graduation day, I weight right at 100 lbs and wore a size 1. I was probably a little TOO skinny, but I just remember being happy with my size. Fast forward a few years, I put a little bit of weight back on, but not much. My wedding day I was wearing a size 6 and was happy with the way I looked. After getting married, it all went down hill from there. I had a full time job and didn't have time to really watch what I ate, I ate on the fly and not many things too healthy for me. Let's face it, carrots or chocolate? I'm gonna choose chocolate every time.

Put on enough weight that I decided to do something about it and joined Weight Watchers again January 2007. Did GREAT again and lost over 30 lbs just before getting pregnant with Reese. Gained around 25 lbs with Reese and did not lose a single pound of it after having her. In fact, I gained more and was the biggest I've ever been. Still the biggest I've ever been and it's sickening too look in the mirror.

So, here I am today. Tired of looking in my closet and everything being snug. Tired of having all skinny friends who can wear all the latest and look so darn cute and I just feel frumpy. Tired of always feeling self conscious.

In the Weight Watcher meeting last night I was sitting next to a lady who lost 50 lbs in 16 weeks. Talk about my new hero -- that's awesome! So, I got to thinking...there's my new goal. 50 lbs by January 30th. Think I can do it? The holidays are coming up...but I have to stay strong. I have to be healthy, tip-top shape for this next in-vitro go round (which will not happen until I meet my goal!). Getting pregnant is my motivation and I know getting pregnant will be better and be easier with all this weight off.

Can you help me reach my goal? Wanna know how you can help? When you think of me, pray for me. This is going to take alot of discipline and strength and encouragement and accountability. One thing (of MANY) that I love about my sweet husband is that he loves me for who I am -- whether I be fat or skinny and I'm so thankful for that. But, I ready to be a skinny wife! :)

My mom and granny are both doing weight watchers with me and that right there is such accountability for us all! We keep each other in check and attend the meetings together!

Ready for my grand total weight loss since 9/13....9.2 lbs. Almost 1/5 of the way there :) I'm on my way to a new me.....let's do this!
