I am SO proud of my Reese and how quickly she caught on to the concept of potty training. It happened in about 2 days...here's how:
Gamee was here on the Friday after my surgery to help out with Reese as I still couldn't lift or really move very well and she was determined to get this stubborn little 2 year old potty trained while she was here! The first thing they did when they woke up was put panties on Reese and went with it...Gamee came armed with treats and lots of praise and encouragement! Reese did GREAT and only had one accident the very first day. (Keep in mind, I had been working here and there on potty training...I planted the seed, per say!) The next day, was just Clay and I, and we stuck with it. She wore pullups to bed, woke up dry, and immediately went potty. She only had one accident that day, too. Since then, about 2 weeks ago, she's only had 1 or 2 accidents and has now requested NO pull-ups at night the last two nights. And she's woke up DRY!
Reese is SO proud of herself! And this mommy is one proud mommy for such a quick learner!
So, now instead of browsing the diaper aisle at the store,...we now browse the "big girl panty" aisle to find the latest and greatest :)

That is so great! I can't wait for that day! :) I did buy 1 pink panty last time I was at gymboree just b/c it was on sale and so cute. It sits in her drawer, taunting me to potty train. lol
Congrats! Ava has started the process last week. We still wear a diaper at night- but I know that will come gradually and I just really haven't been in a hurry- so glad she finally caught on- I know you have been waiting for it :)
