A little punkin' coloring

Yesterday, I let Reese pick out her own pumpkin at the store and chose today as our special day for decorating it. She picked out some stickers (Mickey Mouse) and I knew I had some markers at home to color with.

This morning we hit the park first thing and played for a while. I let her pick out a lunch location and because we weren't travelling out of Hilliard her choices were limited to: WENDY'S.

(*let me make a little side note here...I walk into Wendy's and get behind about 8 stinky, dirty men, look around the restaraunt and there are about 10 more where they came from, and a few got in line behind me. It was a little creepy being there with my 2 year old daughter, practically the only woman in there. The cooks were short handed so getting people their food took FOREVER! I finally ordered, sat down at the table with Reese and kept eyeing the counter waiting on our ONE kid's meal and small coke. We waited...and waited...and waited. I finally got up, picked up my purse and Reese and headed to the counter. Guess what? Yep, they forgot. Hello?! We need a new fast food restaraunt to choose from in Hilliard. ASAP*)

We ate and headed back home to decorate her pumpkin. I pulled down the "special markers" (my sharpies!) and she went to town. First, I drew a face on Mrs. Pumpkin and then Reese used every color in the basket and colored to her little hearts content. I told her she could put it on the front porch so everyone could see it and her face LIT UP! She proudly set it on the table and then quickly came inside to the window to watch it.

When her daddy pulled up, she was so excited to show him her work of art! Doesn't she look proud???

What sweet memories I made today with my girl. I treasure these days because they are going by way too fast.

Too cute, Jobeth! Reese AND her pumpkin. I completely agree with you! A Chic-fil-a in Hilliard would be heavenly!
