A Fresh Start?

First of all, SO sorry for the lack of blogging lately. Our life has been CRAZY busy and quite frankly, I've just kind of been in a slump. We all get that way a couple times of year, right? In fact, I haven't even gotten out my camera since...I can't even remember. I've got to start back -- there's always picture-worthy moments with Reese around!

I take that back, here's one I took with my phone last night:

Yeah, that's toothpaste. Fun to clean up, right? NOT! Thought we would have to grout the rest of the floor in PINK to match. Clay walked in the door after being gone for TWO weeks to see me on my hands and knees cleaning up this pink mess. Reese was enduring her punishment of sitting on the couch while I cleaned up. She apologized and gave me a hug and kiss. I knew she was up to something, when I called for her from my room and she didn't answer....that's always a SURE SIGN she's doing something she's not supposed to be doing!

And yes, I did mention that Clay has been out of town for two weeks for training with work. Don't get me wrong, I am SO thankful for his job...but my goodness, that was the longest and hardest two weeks of my life. I have a new appreciation for single moms/dads and realize how thankful I am for my sweet husband and all the help he is. He's home now and I am oh so thankful :)

Reese showed her TRUE two year old colors the last two weeks. And bless her heart, how can you blame her? Mommy had surgery (more on that later) and wasn't able to hold/pick her up for a few days, and then BAM her daddy leaves for 2 weeks. Her poor little world was turned upside down and shook up with inconsistency, unorganization and no routine. I'll be thankful for a fresh start this weekend with Mommy and Daddy home and doing normal family things :)

Now, don't get me wrong, we had some FUN FUN mommy/Reese days, there were just a few (ahem, maybe several) times that she really just tried my patience and I had no back up.

I've got a few new posts churning...surgery and potty training! Get ready...hopefully I can catch up this weekend!

Thanks for sticking with my boring blog, my faithful readers!
