Surgery...

I mentioned a few weeks back my doctor thought I may have endometriosis and the only way to really know is surgery. So, we had to wait until Clay's new jobs insurance became effective and we scheduled the surgery right way. On Tuesday, September 7th, to be exact.

Minor procedure with a few days of recuperating was ahead of me (well, now behind me!). The surgery went well --- no endo (praise the Lord!) but he did find a large cyst that he got rid of. Came away with 3 incisions and some days of rest! Wasn't too painful of a recovery -- just some minor stomach pain while everything was healing. I went back in for my post-op follow-up a week later and Dr. Duffy was pleased what he found (or didn't find, in this case) and we are a go for whenever we are ready for the next frozen cycle.

Clay and I are currently praying that the Lord opens doors and we know exactly what/when we are supposed to do. We are thinking near the end of this year/beginning of next. Again, we don't want to rush things and we all know how BUSY November and December is with all the holidays. So, it may be January when things slow down a bit so I can truly rest after the procedure and give my body time to accept the babies.

Again, we ask for your prayers as we continue on this journey. Thank you :)

PS: Thank you SO much to my family who took care of me and Reese while I was recovering and our family and friends who provided meals for us during that week. You have NO idea how that made my recovery so much easier. Thank you thank you thank you. I am SO blessed with sweet family and friends who will drop everything to sit at the hosputal, call, text, care for Reese, care for me, fix meals...and most importantly pray.
