Yesterday, we ended our little weekend vacay with a trip to the YMCA Splash Park here in Hilliard. We had planned on going to the zoo yesterday but the heat plus the cost of the zoo (after paying $13 a piece to get in plus an additional $4 each for the train ride) we just decided it wasn't worth it to go. Maybe in the fall we'll make a zoo day! So, we chose the cheaper option of a $5 summer pass to the pool and headed there. Reese was still exhausted from the weekend so she wasn't in a GREAT mood - she was really timid. I guess it would have been smart of me to invite a friend. But, I was trying to stay in 'family vacation mode' and spend quality time together. 
We didn't last long at the pool/splash park. Of course, after I got out of my coverup and completely submerged in the water did she decided she was hungry and ready to go. Oh, the things we do for our children, huh?
Maybe next time we can go with friends and she'll have someone other than her mommy to play with :)

we haven't made it to the splash park yet...we all need to get together and go sometime! the kids would love it!
