On Thursday night, while eating dinner, I suggested that we go ahead and bathe Reese, put on her PJs, and head out to see the Christmas lights in Callahan - the house that it's lights flash with the music. We saw it last year, but thought Reese may be amazed by all the lights...
Much like Kerri's story...it didn't go quite like I planned it.
Reese fell asleep on the way there...(which I figured she would - but ANY OTHER TIME she wakes up right when the car is thrown in park - but, not this time. 
So, Clay and I proceeded to watch the light show by ourself. 
She finally woke up - I got in the front seat with her....we were right in front of the house - perfect view. She took one look at it, and look pretty happy about it, but it didn't last long...
She just wanted to mess with everything IN the car, not look at the lights. So, we left :)
Maybe next year!

I think we may try and start that tradition NEXT year. I dont think that Cale would be too in to it yet. But he does like the lights on the tree.
Olivia is amazed by the lights too. But when we tried to drive around and look she too was more interested in the steering wheel and stuff up front rather then the lights. Maybe next year.
We have taken Ava a couple times to see the lights and surprisingly she loves them. I really wasn't expecting much a reaction, but she will sit and stare at them for as long as we are willing to sit there. However, I will say that we have to time it right with the moods :)
we're going to go look at lights but then changed our mind at the last minute. i figured it would end up like your story....lol!
i got her dress at Goody's like two days ago and all there Christmas wear was on sale! $7! yay!
Again...why don't things turn out in real life like they look in your head???
