After a super busy weekend of FUN that included graduation parties, yard sale, softball tournament, dinner with friends, swimming with friends (x3) and a birthday party, we are plum exhausted. Monday was back to the groove of work and reality. But today, Reese and I are having a very low key day doing…whatever she wants. First up on the agenda was Rainbow Cupcakes. I saw this on a blog not too long ago and shoved the idea away in my memory bank for another day.
The instructions are here: http://bakingbites.com/2009/05/rainbow-cupcakes/
Super easy and didn’t make too much of a mess, thankfully. Right now, they’re cooling off waiting on icing and we are delivering to some special friends who are celebrating the last day of school Reese is so excited to make her special deliveries!
Of course, I had to capture the process in pictures. Enjoy!
Checking out the ingredients…
Excited to be helping mommy cook a treat…
Taste testing each color….
Just before putting them in the oven…
Watching them bake away…
Cooling off. Waiting on icing!
Ready for special deliveries!!!
(PS: I’ll be back soon to catch up. Maybe. The thought of catching up since Easter kind of gives me a mini anxiety attack. Maybe I’ll just start from here…we’ll see.)
