Father’s Day

We celebrated Father’s Day a little bit differently this year. Clay and I did not see any of our dad’s that day, I really wanted to celebrate CLAY. He did the same for me on Mother’s Day and it was so special.

We packed up with the Buchanan’s and the Taylors, loaded the cars with toys, towels, food, swimmies and all the kids and headed to Ft. Clinch for the day. We prepared hamburger patties and all the fixings and set out searching for a grill and area for the kids to play before we went to the beach.

I do have to say, the burgers were GREAT but being outside under the “rainbow of trees” where we found the grill, I was immediately allergic to SOMETHING. I spent the rest of the day full of snot and sneezes. FUN! Fun for me and fun for everyone else having to hear it…sorry guys. Here I am today, with the same stuff….I am beginning to think I’m allergic to myself. Or the outside. Either one, not a good thing.

Anyway, back to the picnic. Where we finally settled at had a nice playground for the girls to play, lots of dirt for Hamp to get into and a grill and picnic tables for us to eat. The only drawback was it was HOT HOT HOT!

Hamp was in heaven playing in the dirt and sticks…he LOVED it!

My sweet Reese. (Um, where did the BLUE eyes go? Maybe it was the lighting, or lack there of, cause I promise her eyes are still as blue as the sky!)

Kate was playing hard! and snacking on pickles!

Sara Gale’s favorite part of the day was the water cooler.

Anna is such a good “big sister” to all three of these girls Smile

They would NOT all three look at the camera at the same time.

My favorite picture of the day. Hands down. What a HOOT! I sure love this boy!

I didn’t get any pictures when we actually travelled over the the ocean. We dropped our stuff by the pier and on the side we were on, the ocean was like a lake. No waves – which made it so much more enjoyable to swim with so many little ones. We had such a good time swimming! We hit up Dairy Queen on the way home and crashed that night. Fun fun day!

I can’t finish this blog post without saying something about our dad’s. I was blessed to grow up in two homes with two dads. They each love me the same and most importantly they love Jesus. When Clay and I married, I gained a spectacular father in law and 3 years ago, Clay became a daddy himself. He and Reese really do have such a special bond and I am so thankful for that.

Those are such sweet pictures and I LOVE the one of Reese. If you look close up, she had blue teeth (instead of her normal blue eyes) -I am glad you had a fun day!
