January SLUMP

I feel like I get in a blogging slump every few months. Wasn't I just in one? It's been exactly 20 days since I've blogged and probably that long since I've taken out my camera and taken a picture too. I'm doing a picture a day project on facebook but those are all taken with my phone and are well...phone quality.

We've had a pretty uneventful, yet very busy January. I feel like life is passing us by so fast I am running to catch up with it. Just feel like I'm always a few steps behind. It's been an emotionally hard month but it seems that month after month are that way. I won't even get into that...you know the deal..someone else is pregnant, i want to be, i can't, don't know when i will. Same drill over and over.

So, I'm moving on...

Clay is trucking along with his new job at Wachovia. He is liking it...I like it too. It brings LONG days as he works over an hour from home and leaving before 7 every morning and not getting home until between 6 and 7 is a long day. But, I'm thankful. He seems SO MUCH happier now than this time last year with AT&T.

Reese continues to be our ray of sunshine! She is so much fun right now. She is a sponge soaking in everything around her and is so dang smart. Recently, we've started a new curriculum in Sunday School and the preschoolers are learning a bible verse and song. They are singing in it church this Sunday morning and I sure hope they show what they know. Cause every single one of them knows the entire verse and song w/ hand motions.

The verse is Mark 10:14
"Let all the children come to Me. Don't stop them for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."

Reese can say it with NO assistance. I videoed her today saying it so maybe I can figure out how to post that. Cause it is precious!

She plays dress-up everyday that we are home...all day long. And no not in the princess dresses or tutus. But she loves to dress up in everyday clothes and she comes up with some lovely combinations. Her imagination is soaring and it shows. Just right now, she came out of her room in her PJs and two purses loaded with stuff. She wants to play "car ride" and I'm the driver. Complete with sound effects, seat belts, and passengers. It's a hoot.

I'm still trucking along with Weight Watchers. In a bit of a slump there too. Stuck at 25 lbs lost...hoping to buckle down and get motivated again this week. I've got to. I want to lose another pants size. I did, however, go shopping this past weekend and bought new black pants 2 sizes down and shirts one size down. That feels SO good! I was proudly walking to the register to checkout...not ashamed at the sizes I was buying. Next time, maybe I'll be another size down.

We did buy a new car...well, new to us car this month. Clay and I had been praying about what to do...an offer was made to us for another situation but we had to sell Clay's truck. We didn't owe more than it was worth...but no one wanted to give us what we wanted. So after many days of praying and trying to figure out what to do...we found a car that was a super good deal and went to look a Chevy Equinox. After taking it home to test drive for a few days, we got the loan and it was ours. It cut our payments almost in half, our insurance lowered and we'll definitely save on gas. Clay will drive the Camry to work and as far as he has to go...we'll save about $200 a month on gas. Whew! The new car has SO much room...plenty of room to add another carseat. Which, prayerfully, we'll be able to do one day.

So there you have it...a small update from us. Boring, yes. But, when I look back I want to see what was going on in our lives January 2011 :)

I'll leave you with ONE picture...:)

I am with you on the slump!! Things are running 90 to nothing and I feel like I am just sitting on the curb watching it all roll by. Also with you on everyone being pregnant! Wow... Maybe we need to meet up at the park one day and let the girls play soon!
