Monday morning started with Reese telling me, with tears in her eyes, "I don't want you to go to work today. Can you just stay home and play with me?" Broke my heart to pieces! I knew that statement was a cry for attention from mommy...not the kind of attention she's been getting lately - wake up, snuggle a little bit, get ready, off to do this and that and run around here, there and everywhere. I knew I had to re-evaluate my week and stay home for a day with just Reese and Mommy and NO agenda. Well, today is that day. I skipped Bible Study this morning and we've had a fun day so far.
The morning consisted of a few snuggles on the couch, a couple cups of coffee for mommy, a few cartoons watched, several puzzles put together, tea party with our baby friends and playing outside....and it's only 11:45. I think we'll break for lunch soon!
On our way outside, she went to get herself dressed....and dressed OVER her PJs. She's WAY into doing things by herself so I let her. Why not? She found her sparkly princess shoes and we headed out - but not without her "baby sister" and stroller.
Side note: Sunday night at church, I walked into her classroom and she said to me "I brought my baby sister". I said, "oh really, you and Kate-Kate will have fun playing with her tonight". I looked around the room and couldn't find the baby and Reese informed me she was "in the baby class, sleeping". I walked over the the baby room and sure enough....her "baby sister's" diaper bag was hanging on the hook and the baby was peacefully sleeping in the crib. WHAT A HOOT! After church, she came to the baby class and politely asked, "was my baby sister good at church?". What an imagination! She's going to be GREAT big sister one day!
So on to our day today...
Swinging...
And popsicle eating...
My beautiful almost-three-year-old...
Giving mommy a silly face...
The rest of the day will probably consist of several repeats. It's all about Reese today.
In other news, I've lost 32 lbs since starting Weight Watchers 6 months ago. What a GREAT feeling to have that weight off of me...I am seriously so proud of myself.
My crafting has really taken a backseat...hope to make time for it soon. I've got an unfinished dress I'd love to actually finish and let Reese wear. We'll see...
Now, onto the busy-ness of the rest of the week....well, really the rest of the month of March. Hopefully April will slow down a bit. Hopefully...probably not though. Clay has next week off to help "spring clean" and get this house ready for a baby shower I'm hosting and Reese's birthday bash here in a couple weeks. I'm so exicted to have a FRESH, CLEAN and DE-CLUTTERED house by the end of next week.
I hear a little girl calling my name...until next time!

Congrats on the weight loss! You're over half way to your goal :)
ps. we have Ava days all the time- way too easy to get caught up in the busyness of life! I try to constantly remind myself to slow down since I won't have her at this age ever again!
So sweet...And awesome news on the weight loss!!
I know March is super busy for you and I am so thankful for all your hardwork for the baby shower:-)
