Valentine's Day (well, a few days early..)

Wednesday night at church we had a Valentine's Day party for the preschool department. We made heart shaped pizzes for the kids to create their own with sauce, cheese and pepperoni. They thought that was so FUN! and so did I. Different from the past parties where CRAFTS are the only thing we did. They also decorated their bags with hearts of all sorts to carry their cards home from their friends.

In other news, the outfit you'll see on Reese I had part in making :) I've become good friends with my sewing machine over the last couple weeks and have really enjoyed it. I made her skirt and cut out and ironed on the applique on her shirt. I've also made another skirt, ruffle pants (that are now scrap pieces cause my math was wrong in the measurements...long story), and two pillowcase dresses. It seriously gets easier every time I pick up a piece of fabric.

Yeah, the last TWO Friday nights I've spent at home sewing. Exciting, huh? I need to get out more. I'm too young for my life to come to THAT already! I need to make a fabric run this week (hopefully) so I can keep creating! It is seriously a GREAT stress reliever (cause then my stress becomes the sewing project at hand and I seem to forget about life...).
