A look back...

Here's a look back at our 2008. One of the best years of our lives, Reese came into our family and we'll never be the same! :) Enjoy the 'year in review'!

January
It started out with the first of my many baby showers. I look as big as a house and still had 3 months to go! WOW!


February
Clay turned the BIG 3-0! We threw him a surprise party!

We also decorated Reese's room...(the same day as the above party...)

And we went to see Rascal Flatts in concert. Floor seats. AWE.SOME!


March - don't seem to have ANY pictures in March. All I know is that I was REALLY ready to have a baby, preparing to be parents, visiting the chiropractor every week, and walking the block to try and start labor (that obviously didn't work).

April

Here I am ready to meet my precious baby who I prayed for! Looks like I had been in labor for a while because the oxygen mask (which made my face sweat, but helped Reese) was to the side. I must've been taking a break from it. At the beginning of that day, I had no idea it would take 14 hours of labor with 3 hours of pushing to get her here!

We are now a family of 3! Proudly introducing Reese Taryn.

April was a special month, but also had some scary times. Reese was such a tropper having to be on the lights for jaundice for 5 days. Mommy held up as best she could not being able to nurse or hold Reese for 5 days.


May
Reese was dedicated at church. Check out how in awe Daddy is over his sweet girl. This was taken during the prayer.

My first Mother's Day!

Reese was invited to her friend Kate's birthday party!

Reese went on her first vacation to NC. We now have 5 generations in my family. And Reese was even born on my Nana's 88th birthday! How special!

Rolling over! I didn't have a good picture...but this is how I found her when she got up from a nap. She hasn't stopped moving yet!


August
By far, Reese's favorite toy: the Exersaucer! She loved it - until she started crawling!

Took Reese to the beach for the first time. She didn't quite know what to think of it.

Practicing her 'pouty' lip. I've never seen such a dramatic pout! She perfected it each time. It was hiliarious!

Spending some sweet time with "Aunt Molly" before she left for the mission field. Boy, do we miss her!

Sorry this was such a long post - I couldn't just pick one picture per month. We've had an INCREDIBLE year this year and look forward to the blessings that 2009 will bring. We've enjoyed Reese immensely and can't wait to make memories galore this year. We'll have many more 'firsts'!!
