The latest happenings...

We had a pretty relaxing day today.

Clay and our nephew Brenton put up the Christmas lights on the house. YAY! They also got down all the Christmas boxes of decor from the attic for me to put out over the next couple weeks. It'll be a ssslllooowww process, but I'm excited to get it done. What I'm not excited about it trying to find room for all of it. We have a new couch this year and it doesn't flow with our previous Christmas arrangements. We've really got to do some thinking about how we're going to arrange all of it. And on top of all of that, we've got to figure out how to keep Reese from pulling the Christmas tree on top of her. Anything that she even *thinks* she can pull up on, she tries. So, I'm sure the Christmas tree won't be excluded from that.

While Daddy and Brenton were putting up lights, Reese was DYING to crawl around on the ground. I put her down and she didn't know what to think of it at first, but then had a good time exploring and examining everything on the ground.

Reese has learned to clap and it's the cutest thing. She holds her left hand still and moves her right hand back and forth. Of course, it doesn't make the 'clapping' sound, but she's definitely doing it.

The last few days Reese has eaten some new things!
A vanilla wafer, a biscuit, and a ritz cracker. All of which she loved. It's so cute to see her bite off a piece with her front teeth and then try to chew it.

Another new thing of Reese's is to knock down the blocks. She loves it and laughs everytime. If she's distracted with something else and the stack of blocks catches her eye, she makes beeline to the blocks to knock them down. I love it!

Isn't it great to watch them with something new. They still have the innocence we lost many years ago.
